June Announcements

This week, we finally get to begin our lunch series! Many of you are still physical distancing or have been out for various reasons. We look forward to seeing everyone again. Please remember to stay connected and discern the appropriate time for your family to return to the gathering of believers.

The church gathering is the training ground, but very Christian has several mission fields. The Christian’s first mission field is his or her own household and extended family. In Scripture, households considered the Gospel together, came to Christ together, and were baptized together:

1. Cornelius’ Household (Acts 10)
2. Lydia’s Household (Acts 16)
3. The Philippian Jailer’s Household (Acts 16)
4. Crispus’s Household (Acts 18)
5. Stephanas’s Household (1 Corinthians 1).

If we want the best for our families, we will disciple them and live as part of Christ’s body, His church, with our families. So, we invite our families to attend a healthy local church that preaches through Scripture where we can serve God and one another with our families.

This month, we have a guest preacher-Ken Duffy. Ken and his family recently started attending The Cats. His desire is to preach, and he is a good expositor. Let’s give him a warm welcome on June 14. June 14, we also begin our lunch series. Bring your lunch; After the main worship service, Tom Schneider will be summarizing our teaching through Revelation up to this point. Be sure to request any lessons you’ve missed and the devotional commentary on Revelation.
