We love God. We love the fellowship. We love the Bible.
We are a small congregation nestled in the heart of Cochise County, a lighthouse in the desert. The Church at Sunsites was planted in 2011 out of a Bible study with one vision: preach expositorily to the community in Sunsites and surrounding rural areas, shining the light of God’s word in the Sulfur Springs Valley. We are reformed in our theology and ecclesiology and herald Scripture alone as our authority for all of life and ministry. We are set apart by our commitment to lectio continua preaching, plural eldership, family-integrated worship, and unified diversity.
Vision: Heal the Land
We are a local church about the fellowship of believers. We believe that the Gospel goes out through the fellowship and peace comes to the land because of the Gospel. We want to expand through church-planting, fellowship with other local church, and by inviting everyone into fellowship with our Lord, Jesus Christ, and the body of believers here at The Church at Sunsites. We want everyone to experience peace, see justice come to God’s earth, and we desire that every believer be built up into spiritual maturity.
Mission: Expand the Kingdom
The mission of the The Church at Sunsites is to seek to lead the people of Sunsites and surrounding areas to Christ as Lord and to expand the work of the Kingdom of Christ into all the world by meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of persons near us and supporting the work of other like-minded churches by our participation both personally and financially (Constitution IV).
Purpose: Glorify Christ
The purpose of the Church at Sunsites is to glorify Jesus Christ through worship, evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and ministry (Constitution III).
